I run a small landscape outfit and reorder weekly now. Saved jobs make repeat orders take 30 seconds. Net-30 terms keep my cash flow clean.

Asked for FDOT-spec material and that's exactly what came off the truck. Driver had the ticket ready, weighed and clean.

What is Fill Sand used for?

A3-spec fill sand for backfill, bedding, and structural fill applications. Affordable, clean granular fill that compacts well — delivered in bulk to Florida job sites.

Utility line bedding
Bed water lines, sewer pipes, and conduit. The fine, free-flowing texture supports pipes evenly and protects them from rock contact.
Pool & pond backfill
Fill around above-ground or in-ground pools after install. Compacts easily, drains well, and gives a firm structural surround.
Foundation & slab fill
Use as structural backfill behind retaining walls and around new foundation pours. A3-spec sand meets typical FDOT and engineering fill requirements.
Site grading & leveling
Inexpensive bulk fill for raising low spots, sloping yards, and creating sub-base before topsoil.
French drain bedding
Pair with drain rock for the bedding layer under French drains and trench drains. Allows water to move while supporting the drain pipe.
Septic tank surround
Used by septic installers as the fill material around new tank installations to provide even, settling-resistant support.
Not ideal for these applications:
  • Not ideal for sandboxes or play areas
  • Not ideal for concrete mixing (use Concrete Sand)
  • Not ideal for paver setting beds
  • Not ideal for finished landscape surfaces

I've used the big-box stores for years. The delivered price here beat them by a lot once I added their fees. No surprise charges at the end.
